Although we just finished our new website, we are halfway through our 2015 wedding season here at the farm! We have had countless memorable moments already, including weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, photoshoots, a Hoe-Down, garden tours, luncheons and afternoon teas, and meanwhile we are now booking June-Dec. of next year! Woohoo!

Each bride has brought her own wedding dreams to life, and we’ve been able to see the farm through so many different lenses. We’ve experienced some firsts this year and continue to be inspired with our venue’s endless possibilities. In April, Sydney and Josh embraced our rustic venue and held their ceremony in front of the barn. With four stunning baby’s breath wreaths hung on the barn doors and 30 white church pews set in the green, spring grass, the barnyard was transformed into a country-wedding setting! Then in August, Amanda and Sean were the first couple to have their ceremony in front of the mistletoe “kissing tree” that overlooks the pond. The sun was setting behind the tall trees and this spot made this southern summer wedding a shaded, cool, and breath-taking choice. Great idea Amanda and Sean!

The wedding guests aren’t the only new faces joining us here at the farm. We’ve got a pond full of new koi fish that are happy to entertain little kids if you sprinkle some fish food out for them! In March, the cow crew welcomed “Albie”, a Hereford heifer, and “Charlie”, a solid black Angus heifer, to the herd. Then “Peter Cottontail” joined the farm family on Easter – a black Angus as well, he has a little white “cotton” tip on his tail! Farm dog, “Beastie”, still greets everybody with a warm smile and loves it when she gets to smell (and sometimes sample) reception BBQ all night!

So as you can see, there is never a dull moment at the barn and gardens these days. We can’t wait to see what’s coming next and what our brides and grooms-to-be have in store for us!
